Refurbishment of Cast Iron Windows in a Grade II Listed Building.

Metalwork Solutions UK worked closely with the client and also English Heritage on this project. As a Grade II Listed building there were strict regulations in place when working on the refurbishment of the cast-iron windows, but also on the site itself. Access was limited for plant and machinery, so this became an essential part of the planning process to ensure no laws were broken and health and safety requirements were adhered to. The window process included shot blasting the cast iron window frames, repairing the frames with specialist cast-iron welding, re-painting and re-glazing.
